The Chicago Department of Family and Support Services’ Community Reentry Support Centers can assist formerly incarcerated residents in achieving self-sufficiency while successfully reintegrating into local communities.

Open to any justice-involved Chicago resident above the age of 18 with an arrest or conviction record. Connect with our reentry support specialists in your neighborhood and receive services that can help you transition back into the workforce and move forward in life - including:    

• Employment assistance
• Education and training
• Mentoring and support groups
• Access to housing assistance, emergency housing and food assistance
• Access to substance use and mental counseling
• Strategies for presenting criminal backgrounds to employers
• Information on sealing or expunging criminal records
• Family reunification and child-support assistance
