DESCRIPTION:  Department of Family and Support Services (DFSS),

[Hotel/Motel Shelter Program RFP]

The Department of Family and Support Services (DFSS) Homeless Services Division seeks applications from organizations to operate a year-round hotel or motel room shelter and support services project for single adults and couples experiencing unsheltered homelessness. The Expansion Beds Hotel or Motel Program is a part of DFSS’ response to expand access to quality non-congregate shelter, especially during extreme weather advisories and for encampment initiatives throughout the contract period.  This program will provide a safe, accessible place to stay, while supporting clients in moving towards appropriate stable or permanent housing.

The term of contract(s) executed under this RFP will be from January 1, 2025 – December 31, 2026. Based on need, availability of funds and contractor performance, DFSS may extend this term for up to two additional years with each extension not to exceed one year. Continued support will be dependent upon the selected Respondent’s performance and the continued availability of funding. We anticipate that each award will be between $1,650,000 - $3,300,000 depending on the size of their proposed program. DFSS anticipates funding 1 to 2 agencies.
