Maura McCauley,  Acting Commissioner

Chicago Department of Family and Support Services

 

Maura McCauley is the Acting Commissioner for the City of Chicago's Department of Family and Support Services (DFSS). DFSS supports vulnerable Chicagoan's across seven programmatic divisions including early learning, youth services, homelessness, gender-based violence, workforce, human services and senior services. Prior to serving in this role, Maura served as First Deputy Commissioner of Programs and other leadership positions at DFSS, playing a key role in managing the City's infrastructure and strategy for new arrivals, homelessness response, gender-based violence and human services programs. Prior to joining DFSS in 2012, Maura served in a range of leadership and direct service positions in the non-profit sector.
