Jefferson Park Station Area Master Plan
Updated Jan. 12, 2024 The Jefferson Park Station Area Plan is a Master Plan for the area surrounding the Jefferson Park Transit Center on Chicago's Northwest Side. The Department of Planning and Development (DPD), in coordination with the 45th Ward, received a grant in April 2017 to complete the plan from the Regional Transportation Authority’s Community Planning Program. It was adopted by the Plan Commission in December 2018. Given the major planned investments by the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) into the existing Transit Center, this plan aims to leverage station and bus shelter improvements into broader benefits in the community, including:

Community Engagement Activities
In an effort to engage the community throughout the planning process, DPD conducted 14 stakeholder meetings, 12 additional stakeholder interviews, three large community meetings, administered a survey, and attended four local events to gather public input. These efforts aim to ensure that plan recommendations reflect the goals and needs of the residents of Jefferson Park.
