SAFE Ambassadors
The SAFE Ambassadors are the outreach and engagement team within the Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT). SAFE stands for Streets Are For Everybody. Since 2001, the Ambassadors have provided direct education and encouragement to Chicagoans regarding traffic safety, active transportation options, and multiple CDOT projects. The Ambassadors offer free programming and activities across the city such as presentations, safety literature, and bicycling activities.
