DFSS Youth Services Prevention and Intervention Mentoring Programs RFP

DFSS seeks to fund programs that are curriculum-driven, trauma-focused and/or include a conflict-resolution lens and employ a cohort approach that consists of 12-15 youth. The program must minimally operate throughout the school year with the option of twelve-month programming. Recruitment will focus on youth who are academically off track, have low school attendance, have 1-3 in school disciplinary infractions, limited police involvement and/or heightened exposure to violence.

PRE-SUBMITTAL CONFERENCE:
A Pre-Proposal Webinar will be held on June 19, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon.

Please register prior to the Webinar’s start using the link found in the RFP and above. A link to the completed Webinar will be available on-line after the time and date listed above for those who cannot attend at the live scheduled time.
Additional in-person pre-submittal conferences have been scheduled at the following locations and times:
June 11 at Chicago Teachers Union, 1901 W. Carroll, Main Hall from 10:00 a.m. -12:00 noon
June 12 at KLEO Community Family Life Center, 119 E. Garfield Blvd, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon
The purpose of these pre-submittal events is to clarify the RFP process and the scope of the required services. Attendance is not mandatory, but it is strongly suggested that interested applicants attend.
