Ignore False Summer Jobs Flyer Circulating On Local Social Media

DFSS has learned that a flyer has been circulating via social media promising 10,000 or more summer jobs from the City of Chicago and telling them to go to 100 W. Randolph (The Thompson Center) on May 1st to apply. This is a fraudulent notice and should be completely ignored. Do not go to the address listed on the flyer to apply for summer positions with the City of Chicago. Please alert others who may have received the flyer NOT to go to the address. The City of Chicago does not conduct registration events for summer employment.
The only way to apply for youth employment with the City of Chicago is through the online application. The application for City of Chicago’s youth summer employment is available at www.onesummerchicago.org The application period for One Summer Chicago is open through May 16, 2014.
