Property Tax Incentive Would Support Revolution Brewing Expansion

Revolution Brewing’s Avondale brewery would undergo a $1.8 million expansion through a Class 6(b) property tax incentive proposed to City Council today by Mayor Brandon Johnson.
The project at 3340 N. Kedzie Ave would utilize space previously occupied by Garrett Popcorn, which recently vacated a portion of the building occupied by Revolution. The brewer would use the space to expand its brewing and tap room operations and add up to five new jobs.
Total tax savings over the 12-year incentive period are estimated at $1.8 million.
The Class 6(b) is a Cook County incentive to foster private investment in underutilized and vacant industrial commercial spaces.
