Washington Park TIF

Designation: 2014                   Expiration: 2038 Washington Park TIF district, roughly bounded on the north by 51st Street/Hyde Park Boulevard, 66th Street on the south, Cottage Grove Avenue on the east and Yale Avenue on the west.

The Washington Park TIF District includes a 988-acre section of the Washington Park, Grand Boulevard, and Greater Grand Crossing communities. The primary goals of the district are to support residential and mixed-use development, encourage the rehabilitation of existing structures, improve public infrastructure, and facilitate the redevelopment of an estimated 120 acres of vacant land within its boundaries.
