Formerly located in the Stockyards Industrial Corridor, the 43rd/Damen TIF district was created to support industrial and warehouse uses. The main purpose of the 36-acre district was to provide for coordinated growth that accommodates the future needs of local companies. Specific goals included the implementation of a land use plan that provides for viable and well defined transportation corridors, improved rail access, and other improvements that foster the viability of existing infrastructure. The district was terminated in 2008.
