Neighborhood Broadband RFP
Information about the Neighborhood Broadband Request for Proposal (RFP)
The City of Chicago seeks creative proposals to ensure every household has an affordable, quality broadband option that meets their needs. The City is looking to fund multiple initiatives that can leverage one-time seed funding, plus physical real estate assets, to stand up sustainable, cost-efficient initiatives that increase the number of households connected to home broadband in the long term.
Having identified the Target Community Areas for investment through this RFP — the top 25 areas of Chicago with the lowest rates of home internet connection — the City is open to all technologies, forms of deployment, and ownership models or partnerships.
Our application period is now OPEN.
