Reports

The Central Area Existing Conditions and Trends Report is part of the Chicago Department of Planning and Development's (DPD) update to the 2003 Central Area Plan.

The first phase of the Central Area Plan Update included a review of the area's existing conditions, as well as a visioning process informed by historic progress, recent trends and community input. The resulting report was created in line with a robust community engagement process, including:

  • One kick-off webinar
  • 12 focus group meetings
  • Two public open houses
  • 8 regional pop-up events, and
  • Two online surveys.
