January 26th, 2023: Community Meeting

Presentation | Draft Scenario Boards
The meeting and open house included the presentation of the Draft Development and Open Space & Mobility Scenarios from Tasks 3 and 4. Incorporating community feedback on the Preliminary Sketch Plans from Public Meeting #3, these scenarios were expanded to include fully rendered models of the project site with supporting graphics and illustrations to characterize the scale of the development within the existing community fabric. Each scenario also included an overview of the financial analysis, identifying funding options and an overall affordability structure for all proposed housing units. Recommendations for programming the open space and nonresidential developments were also presented. This two-hour meeting was a hybrid presentation and open house.
December 15th, 2022: Community Meeting

The meeting and open house included the presentation the Preliminary Sketch Plans as part of Task 3. Development Scenarios. Incorporating findings from the data analysis, input from the community during Public Meeting #2, and feedback from staff, initial site plans were developed for the project site. Three different site plans were presented representing three separate scenarios. Three scenarios were developed to provide options for both community review and ultimately development opportunity. This two-hour meeting was a hybrid presentation and open house.
October 29th, 2022: Community Open House

The open house presented the findings from the completed demographic, economic, real estate, and site analysis as part of Task 1. Existing Conditions and Task 2. Financial Analysis. The meeting was in an open house format with seven separate stations for participants to review findings, ask questions, and answer questions related to the topic areas. The open house format does not have a rigid time schedule to allow for a natural flow of information gathering and participation. Community members were encouraged to come and visit each station anytime within the three-hour meeting window.
September 28th, 2022: Community Kickoff

The Community Kickoff was the public’s introduction to the 18th & Peoria Development Framework Plan. The meeting provided an overview of the planning process with detailed information on tasks to be completed at each stage of the process. Each task includes the deliverable(s) associated with it and a general timeline for completion. The meeting also presented all of the opportunities available for community input and feedback.
Workshop-in-a-Box
In addition to holding formal meetings for community engagement, the City offered a Workshop-in-a-Box, designed to provide residents with the tools and information to conduct their own workshop regarding the development framework for 18th and Peoria. Interested parties could download a Workshop-in-a-Box in English or Spanish.
