WEAR IT! BOATING SAFETY

Wear It! OEMC encourages boat safety, including wearing life jackets, on Chicago's waterways.

National Safe Boating Week is highlighted each May. Be safe when in a boat. The U.S. Coast Guard estimates that life jackets could have saved the lives of over 80 percent of boating fatality victims. There’s no excuse not to wear a life jacket on the water - Life jackets save lives!
