CDOT and OEMC: Full Closure on Ida B. Wells Dr. from Michigan Ave. to Columbus Dr.
Westbound between Congress Circle and Michigan Ave. will remain open, but eastbound between Michigan Ave. and Congress Circle will be closed
CHICAGO – The Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) and Office Emergency Management & Communications (OEMC) remind residents that the NASCAR Chicago Street Race traffic plan is in effect, and beginning at 12:01 AM on June 10, there will be a full closure on Ida B. Wells Dr. from Michigan Ave. to Columbus Dr., including adjacent sidewalks. During this closure, residents are encouraged to use Jackson Dr. and Balbo Dr. as alternate routes. The next significant traffic impact residents can expect starts on Sunday, June 18, and Monday, June 19. Beginning on 7 PM on June 18th to 6 AM on June 19th, there will be a full closure on Jackson Dr. from Michigan Ave. to Columbus Dr. Starting at 6 AM on June 19 there will be a travel lane closure on Jackson Dr. From Michigan Ave. to Columbus Dr.
