CDOT and OEMC: Full Closure on Jackson Dr. from Michigan Ave. to Columbus Dr. and Balbo Drive from Michigan, Ave. to DuSable Lake Shore Drive
Reminder there is a full closure on Ida B. Wells Drive from Michigan to Columbus Dr.
CHICAGO – The Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) and Office Emergency Management & Communications (OEMC) remind residents that the NASCAR Chicago Street Race traffic plan is in effect.
From 7 PM on June 18 to 6 AM on June 19, there will be a full closure on Jackson Dr. from Michigan Ave. to Columbus Dr. Starting at 6 AM on June 19 there will be a traffic lane closure on Jackson Dr. from Michigan Ave. to Columbus Dr. During these closures, residents are encouraged to plan ahead and to use Randolph St. Please refer to the illustration below.
Beginning at 6 am on Monday, June 19, there will be a full closure of Balbo Dr. from Michigan Ave. to DuSable Lake Shore Drive (intersection will remain open).
The next significant traffic impact residents can expect starts on Sunday, June 25.
