The Englewood Music Festival will take place, Saturday, September 17, 2022. The day-long event will be free to the public. 5,000 attendees are expected.

Principle Barbers

Project: Tæmber

Tæmber is a monthly performance event for the North Lawndale community at Principle Barbers store front and backyard. It consists of live DJs, live jazz and musicians from North Lawndale. A culminating festival will take place on September 17.

South Side Community Art Center

This free event in SSCAC’s new side lot will invite community members and artists of all disciplines to celebrate life and creativity post-pandemic, with music by Akenya and Black Monument Ensemble.

Blues Heaven Foundation

Project: Record Row Concert Series

Annual event running from the first Thursday in June (June 2, 2022) until the third Thursday in September (September 15, 2022)

Concerts are from 6-7:30pm

Chess Records building, 2120 S. Michigan Ave. (held in the outdoor, green space, park setting of Willie Dixon's Blues Garden adjacent to the historic Chicago landmark)

2022 marks the 20th year of the non profit Blues Heaven Foundation, providing FREE entertainment to the community with music, dance and education through our Record Row Concert Series.

Fahrenheit Chicago is an annual humanities festival dedicated to using the discipline to address CDC's social determinants of health impacting Chicago's Black and Brown LGBTQ communities citywide.
