This afternoon the City Council approved the appointments of Tyler Hall, Arlette Porter, and Cynthia Velazquez to the Chicago Police Board.

• Mr. Hall is a local government specialist and is currently senior advisor at Downing Community Advisors.
• Ms. Porter is an attorney with her own practice, the Law Office of Arlette Porter. 
• Ms. Velazquez is a former police officer who now serves as deputy director of the Suburban Law Enforcement Academy.
