Resources for New Arrivals
Since the summer of 2022, the City of Chicago has welcomed well over 40,000 new arrivals from the Southern border and has worked tirelessly to help them adjust to their new home and ensure their health and wellness. The Chicago Department of Public Health, with the help of many community and healthcare partners, has assembled a variety of resources to connect new arrivals to healthcare, help them get up to date on needed vaccines, and provide education on how to navigate the American healthcare system. Explore this page to learn more about what is available for new arrivals in need of healthcare or other kinds of support.
