This Saturday, April 11th, between the hours of 9 p.m. and 7 a.m., motorists can expect:
* The full closure of the entrance ramp to eastbound I-190 from northbound Mannheim Rd. The entrance ramp will reopen to automobile traffic at 7 a.m. Sunday.
* Temporary 15 minute full stops on northbound Mannheim Rd.
A detour will be posted during the closure: the detour will use northbound Mannheim to westbound I-190, exiting at Bessie Coleman Drive to access eastbound I-190.
Weather permitting on Saturday, April 18th, between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m., motorists can expect:
* Temporary 15 minute full stops on both the northbound and southbound lanes of Mannheim Rd. for beam erection.
Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. Alternate routes are strongly recommended.
Drivers are urged to pay close attention to flaggers and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits and be on the alert for workers and equipment.
This Balmoral Ave. extension bridge project is funded by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
