The Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) announced that ongoing pin and link structural repair already begun on Wacker Drive will require the closure of the westbound ramp from intermediate Wacker/Lake Shore Drive to Upper Wacker starting Monday, April 11.   The ramp will reopen temporarily on April 22 to accommodate traffic associated with the NFL Draft. 

Once the NFL Draft is over and cleanup is complete, the ramp will be closed for an additional six weeks. The detour will start on Westbound Intermediate Wacker Drive, left onto Intermediate Columbus Drive, right on intermediate South Water Street, right at Wabash and then continue to the Upper Wacker Drive intersection.   To avoid possible traffic delays, motorists coming from Lake Shore Drive should use Grand or Randolph as a westbound alternative.
