Key Points
- Flu activity is rapidly increasing across Chicago, and RSV activity remains high; COVID-19 activity may also be increasing modestly.
- Healthcare visits for flu are rapidly increasing across every age group. RSV visits remain high and continue to increase overall, but visits among children <5 years may have started to slow. Visits for COVID-19 are also increasing modestly across multiple groups. Test positivity rates for these illnesses reflect similar trends.
- Flu wastewater concentrations have started to increase, and RSV concentrations are high. COVID-19 concentrations remain minimal.
