Reports and Engagement
The second phase of the Central Area Plan Update is currently underway to gather input on strategies and actions that that will enable the city’s Central Area to better serve residents, workers, visitors and businesses. Engagement for the second phase includes:
- 6 focus group meetings (Round 1 summary | Round 2 summary)
- 5 regional pop-up events
- 2 online surveys
A public open house, webinar and plan comment period will be scheduled in spring 2025.
Phase 2 Engagement Summary and Findings

The first phase of the Central Area Plan Update included a review of the area's existing conditions, as well as a visioning process informed by historic progress, recent trends and community input. The resulting report was created in line with a robust community engagement process, including:
- One kickoff webinar
- 12 focus group meetings
- Two public open houses
- 8 regional pop-up events
- Two online surveys
