Effective January 1, 2016, tax collectors and taxpayers must file their tax returns electronically. It’s fast, easy, convenient, and free!
Real Property Transfer Tax Declarations
Real Property Transfer Tax declarations must be filed online at: https://mytax.illinois.gov/MyDec//
Other City Taxes
All other City taxes must be filed online at: https://webapps1.cityofchicago.org/TaxWeb/
Need Access to a Computer?
For City tax filing, public access to computers is available at the Department of Finance 121 North LaSalle, Room 700 and at all branches of the Chicago Public Library. Additionally, public computers can be located through Connect Chicago by visiting http://locations.weconnectchicago.org/.
