CDA to Host Airport Expo and Job Fair Nov. 18 at UIC Forum

CHICAGO – The Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) will host an Airport Expo and Job Fair on Friday, Nov. 18, at the UIC Forum for small businesses and individuals interested in learning about contracting and job opportunities at the City’s airports.
“There are incredible opportunities to be a part of the growth of O’Hare and Midway, especially with all of the exciting developments on the horizon through our O’Hare 21 Program,” CDA Commissioner Jamie L. Rhee said. “I encourage job seekers and entrepreneurs from every walk of life to explore all the openings we have at this expo.”
Job seekers will have the chance to meet companies seeking employees of all levels of experience for positions at O’Hare and Midway.
Local businesses will have the opportunity to learn about:
- Upcoming contracting opportunities with the CDA’s Construction Managers at Risk (CMARs)
- Hiring and contracting initiatives to increase diversity, equity and inclusion at O’Hare and Midway
- Requirements to obtain certification as an Airport Concessions Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE), Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), Minority-Owned Business Enterprise (MBE), Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE), Veteran-Owned Business Enterprise (VBE) and Business Enterprise Owned by People with Disabilities (BEPD).
