The Chicagoland Syndemic Advisory Council (CSAC), Chicagoland’s HIV Planning Council, provides oversight and guidance to the Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH) Syndemic Infectious Disease Bureau regarding HIV service priorities and the allocation of funding from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP) to service providers in the Chicago Eligible Metropolitan Area (EMA), which includes Cook, DeKalb, DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kendall, Lake, McHenry, and Will counties. CSAC guides Ryan White Part A strategies to ensure an end to the HIV epidemic by assessing the needs of people impacted by HIV, both living with and vulnerable to HIV, in the metropolitan Chicago area.

Mission

Our mission is to reduce the number of new HIV infections while increasing access to HIV care and improving health outcomes for people living with and vulnerable to HIV across the Chicago EMA, in partnership with community input and guidance.
