CHICAGO – Due to the Winter Storm Warning in effect for the City of Chicago, all vaccination and testing sites operated by the City of Chicago will be closed on Tuesday, February 16. People with scheduled appointments will be notified of changes. The City is assessing the overall impact from the storm and will make decisions regarding testing and vaccine operations on a day-to-day basis during the inclement weather.

Chicago continues to vaccinate individuals in phases 1a and 1b of the vaccine rollout – healthcare workers and residents and staff of long-term care facilities, as well as Chicagoans age 65+ and specific groups of highest-risk and front-line essential workers are now eligible for vaccinations. Phase 1b is expected to last through at least February and March. The vaccine is offered at no cost to all Chicagoans who want it, but patience is needed while vaccine quantities increase.
