Congress Parkway Bridge Closed Early Sunday For Testing And Maintenance

The Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) announced today that, weather permitting, the movable bascule bridge over the Chicago River at Congress Parkway and the Eisenhower Expressway/I-290 will be closed to traffic for approximately five hours early Sunday morning in order to test the bridge lifting systems and perform routine maintenance.
The full roadway closure will be from midnight Saturday until 5 am on Sunday, March 29th.
All vehicles will be detoured around the closure via Wells Street, Harrison Street and Canal Street.
