Description: Amends the Prohibition on Associations with Criminal Organizations Order by adding to the definition of “criminal organization” to include groups that practice or support terrorism and groups that practice or support illegal discrimination and prejudice; expands on the list of prohibited activities with criminal organizations; reorganizes the distribution of responsibilities for implementing the Order.

  • CPD submitted draft amendments to G08-03 on January 13, 2023.
  • CCPSA submitted comments and suggestions on March 14, 2023.
  • CPD responded to CCPSA’s comments and suggestions with an updated draft of its amendments to G08-03 on June 28, 2023.
  • CCPSA submitted additional proposed changes in August 2023.
  • CPD responded to CCPSA’s additional proposed changes with an updated draft of its amendments to G08-03 on September 3, 2023.
  • CCPSA and CPD are continuing to work collaboratively to finalize the draft amendments to G08-03.
  • At the November 13, 2024 Commission Meeting, Commission unanimously voted to approve on the amended G08-03 policy, Prohibitions on Criminal and Biased Organizations.
  • CPD issued the revised policy on January 12, 2024.
  • January - April 2024, CCPSA worked with CPD to include additional feedback to current policy.
  • CCPSA held a public webinar on March 18, 2024 to discuss policy additions.
  • Policy additions posted for community comment and input on March 26, 2024.
  • At the April 25, 2024 Commission Meeting, Commissioners unanimously voted to approve these additional amendments.
  • CPD issued the revised policy on June 24, 2024.
