Mayor’s License Discipline Commission

The Mayor’s License Discipline Commission (MLDC) conducts hearings and issues disciplinary action when businesses are found to be in violation of the Municipal Code of Chicago. This includes violations related to liquor and tobacco licenses, as well as hearings related to licensees who owe debt to the City or are otherwise not in compliance with the Municipal Code. The MLDC also hears appeals related to the denial of shared housing applications and Commissioner’s adjustments. Effective May 15, 2023, the MLDC has resumed in-person hearings.
