Green Homes Chicago
This program provides free home energy upgrades and energy efficiency retrofits to income-eligible homeowners, including new insulation and heat pump heating and cooling systems. Selection for this program is based on household eligibility and available funding and is not guaranteed. A site inspection will determine eligibility and scope of work.
Register for Green Homes Chicago
The registration period will be open from 9:00am on Monday, May 6, 2024 - 5:00pm on Friday, May 24, 2024. Interested homeowners should register online, by calling 311, or by using the CHI311 mobile app. Please note that registering your interest in this program does not guarantee service.

Income guidelines
Households earning up to 80 percent of area median income (AMI) may be eligible to participate in the program. See chart below for income qualifications.
