Kim is a founding member and the board president of ChiFresh Kitche, a women- and minority- owned worker cooperative that offers fresh, nutritious, and delicious prepared meals to schools, community organizations, and other institutions working to improve the health and wellness of the individuals they serve. Having recruited three out of the other four founding members, she was a driving force in assembling the team.

At ChiFresh, Kim leads the delivery team and is also responsible for purchasing and receiving. Kim is on the board of directors for the US Federation of Worker Cooperatives and was chosen for the REDF accelerator program in recognition of her leadership in the social enterprise space.

ChiFresh Kitchen is part of a collaboration of urban farms, food operators, worker centers, policy advocates, and other community organizations led by people of color on the South and West Sides of Chicago, who are coming together to promote food sovereignty, racial justice, and equitable food access in the City.
