Mayor Lightfoot will travel to DC this week to visit with top White House officials and senior leaders to advocate on behalf of Chicago’s residents, maximizing historic Federal investments in COVID response, infrastructure, and in our communities and families. Meetings with both the Legislative and Executive branches will include discussions on the city’s new federal investments and the implementation of the Mayor’s Chicago Recovery Plan, which aligns with the Biden administration’s Build Back Better Agenda, by making key investments in the communities not only hardest hit by COVID but by historic disinvestment.
