"Ed Uhlir was a visionary architect, dedicated employee of the Chicago Park District and lifelong Chicagoan whose creativity and imagination helped bring Millennium Park to life and transformed public spaces across the city. Ed will always be remembered for his commitment to Chicago, his remarkable gift for architecture and design, and his unique ability to build consensus and bring people together to accomplish big things. Amy and my thoughts and prayers are with the Uhlir family and Ed's many friends and colleagues who are mourning his loss and celebrating his incredible life and legacy."
