At its May 13, 2024 meeting, the Board of Ethics voted unanimously to formally submit the attached proposed amendments to the Governmental Ethics Ordinance to the Mayor and City Council for their consideration and passage. The proposals codify Mayoral Executive Order 2011-2, which prohibits registered lobbyists from making political contributions to the Mayor or the Mayor’s political committee. These proposals also expand on the prohibitions in that that Order, as explained in the cover memo.
