The division attorneys provide legal assistance to client departments in connection with the purchase, sale, leasing, condemnation, zoning and development of land, as well as the opening, vacation and dedication of public rights of way.  The Real Estate Division regularly partners with City departments to create, structure, implement and administer the City's affordable housing, "green," "brownfield," and open space initiatives.  In addition, the Real Estate Division serves as counsel to the Zoning Board of Appeals, Landmarks Commission and Plan Commission.
