How can we develop Chicago’s riverfront as a cohesive, connected and active public space? Nine international architecture firms respond with innovative visions for improving Chicago’s river edge. Participating firms include: Perkins+Will, Site Design, David Adjaye Associates, SOM, Studio Gang, Ross Barney Architects, James Corner Field Operations, SWA and Sasaki. Ultimately, feedback collected through this exhibition will inform a set of design guidelines for future development along the Chicago River edge. For details including gallery talks, satellite venues, special events and how to give input visit ChiRiverLab.com.
This program is an initiative of the City of Chicago’s Department of Planning and Development in collaboration with Metropolitan Planning Council with generous support from The Driehaus Foundation, Comcast and Related Midwest.
