Chicago Cultural Center Dance Studio Residency
During 2022’s Year of Chicago Dance, a new floor was installed in the Chicago Cultural Center's Dance Studio, creating a functional rehearsal space for dance of all styles. DCASE is now launching the Chicago Cultural Center Dance Studio Residency to provide space, time and $10,000-$25,000 in funding for dancemakers seeking to create new work.
Chicago Cultural Center New Play Residency
This New Play Residency will provide space, time and funding – up to $12,000 for a play and up to $16,000 for a musical – for collaborative projects between Chicago theatre producers, playwrights, composers, lyricists and librettists who seek to develop a new full-length play or musical.
Chicago Cultural Center Visual Arts Program
The City of Chicago’s Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE) exhibition program encompasses historic as well as contemporary art worldwide, with special emphasis placed on emerging and underrepresented artists who live and work in Chicago.
