CHICAGO —Mayor Brandon Johnson and the City of Chicago’s Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE) today announced the full food vendor and music lineup for this year’s downtown edition of Taste of Chicago, September 6 - 8. Taking place in its iconic Grant Park home, the beloved Chicago tradition will once again spotlight the impressive variety and talent of the city’s culinary scene, set against the backdrop of Buckingham Fountain. Alongside 40 food vendors and more than a dozen food truck offerings, guests can enjoy free performances by some of music’s most well-known names, with headliners including GRAMMY®-winning singer, songwriter and rapper CeeLo Green, celebrated regional Mexican music trio Yahritza y Su Esencia and Australian alternative rock group Atlas Genius on the Taste Main Stage. Alongside the Main Stage headliners, The Goose Island Stage showcases an exciting roster of local and emerging artists, including Gabacho, Asha Imuno and MJ Nebreda, along with DJ sets by Toyacoyah, DJ Hotrod and DJ Iggy to close out each night, respectively. Throughout the weekend, guests will also enjoy family activities, special programming, free dance lessons and much more.
“For more than 4 decades, Taste of Chicago has grown into a global institution, inviting Chicagoans and visitors alike to enjoy our city’s expansive culinary and cultural ecosystem,” said Mayor Brandon Johnson. “In addition to the renowned food experience, I’m thrilled to welcome the performing artists from Chicago and around the world to Grant Park for a must-see weekend of entertainment, cuisine and community unlike any other.”
Following a successful Taste of Chicago event in Rogers Park this June, DCASE also presents Taste of Chicago neighborhood events in Marquette Park (6743 S. Kedzie Ave.) on Saturday, July 27 from 12pm–9pm and Pullman Park (11101 S. Cottage Grove Ave.) on Saturday, August 17 from 12–8pm leading up to Taste of Chicago in Grant Park. Both Taste of Chicago Marquette Park and Pullman Park events will have food vendors and food trucks, a full day of music, Chicago SummerDance lessons and a kids’ area with inflatables. Full vendor and entertainment lineups at TasteofChicago.us.
“We’re proud to once again present Taste of Chicago in the neighborhoods; this year bringing Taste to the beautiful communities of Rogers Park, Marquette Park and Pullman Park before returning to Grant Park,” shared DCASE Commissioner Clinée Hedspeth. “Taste of Chicago provides a platform for small businesses to be discovered and our city’s stalwarts to shine—the diversity of the food, the music, and even more so, the people are what make Taste of Chicago an annual favorite.”
“The Taste of Chicago showcases the incredible culinary diversity of our city's 77 neighborhoods. Taste is a particularly important moment each year for our dynamic restaurant community,” said Sam Toia, President and CEO of the Illinois Restaurant Association. “It offers a special bite of why we are the greatest culinary city in the world.”
As always, admission to Taste of Chicago is free. Once again, there will be no Taste tickets; all vendors accept cash and/or credit. For more information, visit TasteofChicago.us, and follow on Facebook and X and Instagram.
