Hospital Preparedness Program

Chicago hospital

HPP works to assure the Chicago healthcare system can perform a coordinated response during public health emergencies. CDPH and its healthcare system partners have been conducting the work of the HPP via the local Health Care Coalition, the Chicago Health System Coalition for Preparedness and Response (CHSCPR) since 2008. The Coalition structure provides a framework that is inclusive of the emergency preparedness needs of all healthcare organizations within the Chicago healthcare delivery system. The core tenants of CHSCPR are centered around information sharing, medical surge, responder safety and health, and training and exercising..
