HIV/STI Prevention
HIV/STI Prevention Program works with Chicago’s community planning group, CAHISC, to assess needs and identify priorities in order to best address the epidemic and prevent HIV disease in the city of Chicago.
The recommendations of CAHISC are documented through a 2014-2016 Comprehensive HIV Unified Plan, which is then translated into Request for Proposals (RFP) to fund prioritized populations and interventions and innovative, and new programs to stem the epidemic. The HIV/STI Prevention Program also monitors the grants funded through these RFPs and provides technical assistance directly to funded agencies.
