If the system qualifies for the “Easy Permit Process”: Complete the application and submission instructions listed on page 2 of the “Photovoltaic Panel Permitting Guidelines” | |

If the system qualifies for “Standard Plan Review”: Complete the application and submission instructions listed on page 2 of the “Photovoltaic Panel Permitting Guidelines” | |

Upon receiving approvals of City permits and ComEd interconnection, begin installation of the system |

Schedule Electrical Inspection with Department of Buildings [schedule here] | |

Once approved, submit City’s Inspection Approval to ComEd |
Upon receiving Inspection approvals from the City and ComEd, activate the system* |
*During commissioning, verify that system owner has received net metering approval from their retail energy supplier
