Public Transportation

Rideshares, Taxi Cabs, Car Services and Pedicabs: Geofencing boundaries will be in effect for the safety of pedestrians and motorists around the United Center and McCormick Place.

The DNC is keeping it green by taking CTA’s Green and Blue lines! Ridership at the Ashland and Damen stations on the Green Lake Street branch saw triple the ridership versus the same time last week, while ridership at the Illinois Medical District Blue Line station was up 143%, compared to the same day last week.

Starting Friday August 20, 2024, extra service will be provided along the Blue Line, which will complement the increased service currently being provided along the Green Line both before and after the DNC Convention at United Center. CTA will continue to monitor service levels and adjust accordingly.
