Introduction

The Quarterly Transfer Report is published by the Office of Budget and Management pursuant to MCC 2-4-055. This report, developed in close partnership with City Council members, reflects our ongoing commitment to collaboration and greater transparency in how the City manages its funds. The report covers the appropriation transfers that occurred during the quarter preceding the report publication date. It provides City Council and the public with a clear understanding of the fund transfers that occur throughout the year and the reason for the transfer, further enhancing the transparency of City operations, and the public’s ability to monitor budget implementation.

How to Read This Report

Transfer Date: the date the transfer was executed within the City’s financial management system.

Department: the department’s code and name of the department.

Parent Cost Center: the departmental division, the organization or the respective City Council Ward or Committee.

Budget Authority Line: the budget authority line is the appropriation authority for the respective appropriation code and includes the Fiscal Year (BFY2025), Fund (F0100 – Corporate Fund, F0200 – Water Fund, etc.), Department (D15 – City Council, D05 – Office of Budget and Management, etc.), and Parent Cost Center (P152351 – 51^st Ward Office).

Appropriation: the budgetary account the transfer is going from and to.

Transfer Amount: the amount of the transfer.

Transfer Justification: the justification provided by the department, ward, or committee for the transfer.
