The Mayor's Office for People with Disabilities advocates for research that centers the lived experiences of people with disabilities in Chicago. This research informs our priorities as we continuously adapt our programs and services to meet the changing needs of Chicago's disability community.
Department Publications
New in 2024, the Mayor's Office for People with Disabilities partnered with the Chicago Department of Public Health and the Healthy Chicago initiative to survey the health status of Chicagoans with disabilities. A data brief from this report was released in July 2024 to mark the 34th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act. The full report will be released in late 2024.

Annual Reports
To increase communication and accessibility of its programs and services, the Mayor's Office for People with Disabilities has launched an annual report outlining the important services provided by the department and the communities we serve.
