Proposal to phase out Chicago’s subminimum wage for tipped workers passes City Council, representing a major win for the Johnson Administration, working Chicagoans and families.

The CHO will be responsible for addressing the complexities of homelessness and housing insecurity in Chicago, fostering greater policy and operational coordination across City departments and sister agencies, and providing strong leadership to effect improvements

Under the Johnson Administration, the newly expanded program will provide support for up to one year to increase vibrancy and promote small businesses in the city’s commercial corridors.
