Ice skating at the McCormick Tribune Ice Rink in Millennium Park is presented by Discover Financial Services® and runs November 15 until February 2 (weather permitting). Admission to the ice rink will be free, but reservations are required. Free skating lessons will be available, made possible by the McDonald’s Active Lifestyles Endowment managed by the Millennium Park Foundation. More information will be announced in the coming weeks.
Skating Sessions
Ice rink skating session times and reservations will be announced in the coming weeks.
Reservations open two weeks ahead of session date.
Learn To Skate
DCASE presents free skating lessons (reservations required) for skaters of any age at three levels: beginner, intermediate, and hockey skills. Lessons take place from 9-10am on Saturdays and Sundays (weather permitting) from November 16, 2024 to February 2, 2025.
Helmets are strongly encouraged for beginner skaters.
Skate rental is free for the lessons.

Free ice skating lessons are provided by the Chicago Youth Foundation and are made possible by the McDonald’s Active Lifestyles Endowment managed by the Millennium Park Foundation.
Food & Drink
Snacks and hot drinks will be available from Momentum Coffee and Millennium Hall next to the skating rink.
Accessibility
Wheelchairs, electric and manual, are allowed on the ice.
